Snapshot! Children's Art Projects

Currently in development by Queensland Arts Council's Ontour onexhibition program and set to tour the state in 2011-2012.

What is it?
A multi-layered touring exhibition that showcases innovative children's art projects from across Queensland.

Exhibition intent

Through Snapshot! Queensland Arts Council aims to:
Showcase quality children’s visual arts projects from Queensland that enable children to participate as creators and consumers of rich cultural experience.   

Share ideas and resources with parents, children, educators, carers and communities through exhibition content and platforms.

Inspire new projects and act as a catalyst for generating more visual art engagement opportunities for regional communities.

Connect, develop and build audiences for regional venues and projects.

Exhibition Details

In development between July - December 2010 and available to tour in 2011-2012, Snapshot! will feature material sourced from Queensland’s cultural innovators that are recognised for producing quality children’s arts projects.

Formats may include:
•    documentation
•    children’s artwork
•    digital media
•    interactive components
•    support material (education kits, links)
•    workshop opportunities

Ontour onexhibition exhibitions are small scale for spatial requirements and transport (Max. 30 running metres) and presented in public venues such as galleries, council buildings, visitor centres and libraries.

Queensland Arts Council provides visual arts experiences as a backdrop for everyday life in regional communities.

Who should register?
Queensland-wide arts industry, education, research, council, government, cultural and creative sector organisations and individuals.
