Etched, scratched, watermarked, stamped, rolled, blocked-in or engraved, this exhibition offers a sweeping glance at the many possibilities of printmaking, all in bite-sized pieces.

Showcasing North Queensland’s printmaking talent alongside national and international artists, this exhibition is made up of over 100 small prints set in CD jewel cases; creating a powerpacked collection of texture and colour to liven your senses.

Curated by Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts in Townsville, this annual exhibition will tour to regional communities for the first time in 2010. Displaying a range of traditional and new techniques, including relief, intaglio, serigraph and digital, Compact Prints brings you the stunning work of a global community of printmakers, all in cute little cases.
