Ontour onexhibition shares the stories of people and places of regional Queensland through visual arts, craft and design. Inspiring regional artists and community groups to connect with the state’s rich creative cultural identity, the program creates a visual dialogue across the state and nationwide.

Ontour onexhibition provides opportunities for regional Queensland artists and communities to promote their history and sense of place, illustrating the diverse and creative vibrance of regional Queensland.


How we do it...

 

People, places, ideas

By supporting regional Queensland communities to develop an exhibition that expresses the story of their people, places and ideas. Genuinely community-created and full of creative spirit, Ontour onexhibition tours the exhibition statewide and nationally, opening eyes to the creative spirit of Queensland's regional communities. Emerging regional artists

By providing valuable statewide and national exposure to regionally-based artists, supporting their development through promotion and feedback from galleries and communities.

Tim Sharp - diagnosed with autism when he was three - created Laser Beak Man at eleven. He developed a series of illustrations of his blue-caped hero, which toured for three years with Ontour onexhibition.

Sharing Government and Corporate Messages

By spreading a common message of celebration: State and local government and corporations have partnered with Ontour onexhibition to send messages to regional people. Profiling Queensland Regional Artists

Queensland has many established and successful artists, who already have a statewide or national presence.
